Kolonaki
Athens upscale district. Luxury shops, boutique cafes, galleries. Lycabettus funicular entrance here. For shopping and fine dining.

Athens is generally safe, tourist areas well-maintained. Cautions: Omonia Square area less safe late at night; watch for pickpockets on metro during rush hour (especially Line 1 toward Piraeus); occasional theft near Monastiraki and Acropolis. Basic precautions: keep valuables hidden, wear bag in front, avoid displaying phones publicly.
Are there Chinese restaurants in Athens?
Yes, mainly around Metaxourgio and Omonia 'Chinatown' area. Sichuan, Cantonese, noodles available. Quality varies — we can recommend good ones. Some Asian fusion restaurants in center too. But we strongly recommend trying authentic Greek food — Gyros, grilled octopus, Moussaka, Greek salad are all delicious!
